Harrisburg Catholic Elementary School takes a whole-child approach to elementary education. Teachers, administrators, counselors, and support staff work together to meet the intellectual, social, behavioral, and emotional needs of each and every child we serve. HCE uses the natural curiosity of children to teach Math, Reading, and critical thinking skills, following the curriculum of the Diocese of Harrisburg.  We offer a gifted teaching staff, small class sizes, and personalized interest in each child.  We are proud to be a Middle States Association accredited school.  

Who Are Our Students?

Harrisburg Catholic enrolls Catholic and non-Catholic students from Pre-School through 8th Grade.  Our students are encouraged to be independent contributing members of our school community.  Our students represent Dauphin, Cumberland and Perry Counties.

  Thanks for taking the time to visit our website.  I hope you can find all the information that relates to enrollment, answer any questions you may have, or find out something about our school.  Harrisburg Catholic Elementary was created out of Holy Family and Cathedral Consolidated Schools to bring the message of Jesus Christ to the children of our school on a daily basis through both word and action.  Our students are challenged academically on a daily basis by a dedicated and highly qualified staff of individuals who work together to better each child that is enrolled in our school.                    -- Mr. David Rushinski, Principal

Announcements and Upcoming Events

Catholic Schools' Week will take place from January 27 through February 2.  A special calendar of activities was sent home showing the many ways we plan to celebrate community, nation, vocations and Catholic schools!


Many Gifts, One Nation fundraising is a special part of Catholic Schools Week.  From 12:00 pm January 29 until 12:00 pm January 30, please click on the link below to donate to Harrisburg Catholic Elementary School as part of the Many Gifts, One Nation program.  If you would like to donate to our school after this 24 hour time frame, please call a school office.  Thank you!

Upcoming Fundraisers

Our next fundraising dinner out is scheduled for Wed., Feb. 6 at the iHop on Union Deposit Rd. from 1:00 until 8:00 pm.  Please mention you are there for the fundraiser and the restaurant will generously donate 20% of your bill to our school.  Supporting these fundraisers helps keep tuition at reasonable rates and allows us to continue the many academic programs throughout the year.  Thank you for your support.  

Important Reminders

All Harrisburg Catholic families are required to complete your 10 hours of service each school year.  Any unfulfilled time will be billed at the end of the school year.  Please be sure to complete the 10 hours of service.  Thank you!
